Soapbox:
Missed most of Saturday morning because of work.
Was intending to operate QRP but after checking propagation predictions, I went
with 100 watts.
Decided to use the Hustler mobile antennas mounted on vehicle (not-in-motion) on
the 10/15/20/40 bands to test their effectiveness under DX contest conditions
(S&P). I was very pleased with the results.
I also wanted to do more testing with a simple 50-ft sloping wire antenna (tx &
rx) on the 80 and 160 bands. It yielded 160m Q's up to 2000 miles Saturday
morning. Fantastic!
Never heard a anyone on 10m (even though there were cluster activity).
