Thanks to all of you for the many replies.
The general consensus is that the capacitor in the controller may well
need replacing, so I will check into that first. If not that, whatever
it is, it will be a whole bunch more work and may never be fixed at
the rate things are going here and given the club's current resources,
hihi.
