The North Fulton Amateur Radio League and Southeastern DX Club invite you to
hear three special speakers at HamJam 2010.
* Joe Taylor, <http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Joseph_Hooton_Taylor,_Jr.>
K1JT, a Nobel prize winner and active ham radio operator will talk about
weak signal work and EME. You may know Joe as the author of the WSJT and
WSPR software that many of us use.
* Ward <http://www.qrz.com/db/n0ax> Silver, N0AX, the editor of the
ARRL Handbook, frequent QST columnist, and author of Ham Radio for Dummies
will give an entertaining presentation on DXing and contesting. Ward is a
very entertaining speaker that you won't want to miss.
* Our own Hal <http://www.qrz.com/db/n4gg> Kennedy, N4GG, will
provide a short introduction and demonstration of his Blue Lightning spark
gap transmitter. This is a one of kind transmitter in the United States and
uses authentic parts from the spark gap era.
Admission to HamJam 2010 is free. To defray costs we will accept $5 or more
donations which will give you the opportunity to win an Elecraft K-3 or Flex
Radio 1500 transceiver. Either of these rigs will be a great addition to
your shack.
Please talk this up and invite your ham and non-ham friends to attend. This
is a unique opportunity for hams and university students from throughout the
southeast to interact with our well known speakers.
