1. CWOps Club CWT Mini Tests. Every Wednesday. Three separate
one-hour mini-tests. 1300Z, 1900Z, and 0300Z Thursday. 160-10M CW.
Exchange: Name + CWOps# or SPC. Look around 026 to 040 kHz.
2. NCCC RTTY Sprint Practice. 0145-0215Z Friday (Thursday night local
date). 15, 20, 40, 80, 160M RTTY. 100W max power. One/one kHz QSY
rule. Exchange: both calls, #, name, SPC. Look around 080 kHz on each
band or up from 1805 kHz.
3. NCCC CW Sprint Practice. 0230-0259Z Friday (Thursday night local
date). 20, 40, 80, 160M CW. 100W max power. One/one kHz QSY rule.
Exhchange: both calls, #, name, SPC. Look around 040 kHz and up from
1815 kHz.
4. QRP Fox Hunt 80M. 0100-0230Z Friday (Thursday night local date).
Two QRP foxes will be hiding between 3550 and 3570 kHz. Work only the
two foxes (N9NE, TODD, WI, 5W and WC7S, DALE (or LEE), WY, 5W. This
will be the last fox hunt for the Fall/Winter/Spring. Look for a series
of 20M fox hunts this summer.
5. CQ World Wide WPC (Prefix) Contest, SSB. 48 hours of Sat and Sun
UTC. (Single ops are limited to 36 hours). 160-10M SSB. Club
aggregate score competitions. Look for overlay categories such as TB +
wires. If you have only a tribander plus single element wire antennas,
you qualify for this category.
6. First Class CW Operators (FOC) Open QSO Party. Open to all hams.
24 hours of Saturday UTC. 160-VHF CW. Exchange: RST + Name (+ FOC# if
you have one). Look around 025 kHz and, if DX stations and their
pileups are near there, look below and above the DX activity.
7. Phone Fray. Every Tuesday local date. 0230-0259Z Wed. 15, 20, 40,
80, 160M SSB. 100W maximum power. No QSY rule. Exchange: Name + SPC.
Look around 14250, 7175, 3800, and 1865 kHz.
8. CWOps Club CWT Mini Tests. See #1 above.
Hope everyone is getting ready for the Ga QSO Party on April 9 and 10
and the Florida QSO Party on April 30 and May 1. Lots of mobile
activity in both QSO parties. I will register teams for the NA Sprint
SSB Contest to be held 0000-0400Z April 3 (Saturday April 2 local date).
I have N4IQ and K4BAI already. We had a team come in #2 team in the
last running last August. Let me know if you can be on a team and what
power level and amount of time you can devote to it.
Hope everyone has a lot of QSOs and fun this weekend. Happy Easter. The
big contest (CW WPX SSB) allows single ops to operate only 36 hours.
So, even a full-time participant single op can still have time for
family and church activities.
