I haven't used an 850, but I thought the RIT control of the 940 was pretty
handy. (once I figured out why the rig was beeping so much when I used
ctrl-shift to tune the amp -- be sure to press ctrl *first*!)
I suppose you wouldn't want to use it to figure out who was 2KHz below you,
but for someone calling 300Hz low or something like that, it worked great.
