Hi list
Further to the helpful QSP from G0IVZ, I have now set up TR for the
RSGB AFS contest ( well in beta form anyway!).
I found experimentally, and assume it is valid, that a "CONTEST="
statement in logcfg.dat is not mandatory and simply seems to preset
some parameters for the contest in question.
Thus by omitting the CONTEST statement and adding
QSO POINT METHOD=TEN POINTS PER QSO
EXCHANGE RECEIVED=RST QSO NUMBER
it seems to work pretty well.
However I noted that it was still possible to change bands (
accidentally say ) with Alt B, and I sought a way round this.
In the FCONTEST.PAS file for the (e.g.) ARRL 160m contest there was
the line ActiveBand:=Band160 although even in that contest it still
appears to be possible to change bands. I quickly found that that
Syntax was not legal in the logcfg.dat file. However I found that e.g.
BAND=80 *was* syntactically correct, but doesn't appear to do anything!
I wonder therefore if there is a way to restrict operation to a single
band, and avoid foul ups in the heat of the contest?
