You can just work him again and log him.

You coould do this after the contest - provided this
is not an exchange with a serial number.

Are you encountering the AUTO DUPE routine that will not let you
enter a QSO?
If so the way around this is to go into S&P mode.
Enter the callsign and exchange and then log the QSO.
Dont hit the space bar to do the dupe check.
