Don,

According to the Cabrillo standard, A is an acceptable designator for 6m (B
for 2m, C for 1.25m, and so on). Here is the exact quote from the Cabrillo
spec (at http://www.kkn.net/~trey/cabrillo/qso-template.html):

freq:
For HF: integer frequency in kHz; if freq not known then 28000, 21000,
14000, 7000, 3500, 1800
For VHF/UHF; Single character or numberic band representations as follows:
50 MHz=A or 50, 144 MHz=B or 144, 222 MHz=C or 222, 432 MHz=D or 432, 902
MHz=9 or 903, 1296 MHz=E or 1.2, 2304 MHz=F or 2.3, 3456 MHz=G or 3.4, 5760
MHz=H or 5.7, 10 GHz=I or 10, 24 GHz=J or 24, 47 GHz=K or 47, 76 GHz=M or
76, 119 GHz=N or 119, 142 GHz=P or 142, 241 GHz=R or 241, 300 GHz=S or 300,
and Light=L or LIGHT.

So, the band designation in your Cabrillo file seems to be OK.

73, Rich VE3IAY
