The machine I use for TR Log recently lost its power supply fan. Being
cheap, I got a $4.00 replacement at Dayton and put it in. It cools just
fine, but it sounds like a hovercraft is docked under my desk. Now this
may be fine for creating a certain "presence" during phone contests, but
it's annoying otherwise.
Does anyone have any info on a replacement fan that is quiet? I know it
can be done, because my main machine has an Antec power supply (plus an
additional fan in the case) and it's so quiet I don't know it's on. But
specifics... ? I'd prefer not to buy a complete Antec or PC Power&Cooling
power supply if it's not necessary.
