I left FILTER RADIO MESSAGE LENGTH = FALSE.

1. All the mode flips I noticed were traceable to grabbing a band map entry
(usually originated from a packet spot) that was below the CW cutoff
frequency in TR-Log.

2. Occasionally, the band map window would go blank (or maybe down to only
one or two entries) for a second or two, then return to normal. This seemed
to be related to a new spot coming in, but only happened on about 10% of the
incoming spots.

3. Several times the call sign window would go blank for no apparent
reason. Hitting Enter, restored the call sign that was there and put the
cursor in the Exchange window, as expected.

4. Seldom operate phone, and first time with packet. Was surprised that
TR-Log doesn't put the QSX frequency in the outgoing packet spot when the
radio is split with its VFOs on different frequencies. TR-Log receives
incoming splits just fine and sets up the radio accordingly. But, not
automatically sending the QSX information is a shortcoming. WriteLog
handles this well.
