Considering I just sent a rather lengthy message to the CW Reflector
list, I thought this would be a good time to bring up the subject of
quoting the original message when replying and following-up to the
lists. I've seen alot of this on both the CW and Ten Tec reflectors,
and much of the time, the quoted text doesn't seem to be necessary.
A perfect example is the section of text that is attached to the end
of every post, describing how to use the lists. Sometimes it seems
that there is more text about "how to use the list" than there is
useful content. This is even more true when we reply/follow-up
to a message, including that text yet another time.
When these digests are archived, I think more people would appreciate
the end result.
Just some thoughts.
