Chuck,

If you look at page 4-39 of the Ten-Tec manual, you will see that
there are only three sets or groups of signalling involved with
the DB25 connector: (1) TXD/RXD (computer signaling), (2) phase1
and phase0 and +5V (remote tuning control), and (3) band
switching (I use it to automatically switch antennas).

I don't have a Hercules II manual here at home (we have a Herc II
at work in our Emergency Operations Center; I've got the manual
at my work desk), but I will bet that
the remote connector on the amplifier takes the band switching
inputs from the Omni VI. Check the Hercules II schematic and
see if the incoming signals don't control the band selection
section or process in the amp.

If that is, indeed, the case, you should have little or no
trouble figuring out what the pin-to-pin connection is between
the DB25 and the Molex connector.

Good luck and enjoy what looks like an excellent combination of
radio equipment.

73,
dale, kg5u

>Can anyone on the list help with a the pinout for the Omni-6 to
HercII cable? I can find the Molex pinout for the Herc II but
cant seem to find the Omni-6 end of the cable. I'd like to build
the cable but need the dope to do the little project.
>It surely is in the Manula for the Omni but I cant seem to find
it. Thanks in advance, Chuck W7MAP.
