On a more humorous note, when I moved to Texas from various other parts of the
country ten years ago, I still had my 2-land call, KB2HV. A friend here kept
chiding me about applying for a 5-land call. "Who wants a '2' call in Texas?"
etc. I heard that for a few years and finally relented when the AC5 series was
imminent. No sooner did I got my new call and guess who applied in the first
vanity cycle for his old K0 call to be reinstated? Yep, it was K0GEX (whoops,
I let the cat out of the bag!). Ya just can't pleez 'em!
