Although the Curtis chip has been out of production for awhile,
there are keyer kits from Idion Press, Embedded Research and others

The Embedded Reserach Tick keyers and the surface mount versions are small
enough to easily retrofit into the Ten Tec kit rigs or older rigs without
keyers, and the other keyers are often small boards that fit older rigs as
well.

Innovation might be required to not have to drill holes in a valuable
collectors rig. That is why double sided foam tape is so useful to small
board projects!

You can stick postage stamp size boards and even larger ones up with pieces of
double sided foam tape for insulation, vibration proofing and mounting all in
one.
