Hi Everyone,
I am offering for sale one of my immaculate Corsair II's to one of the TT
deserving.
This unit is as clean as the day it was made. Cabinet top and bottom, front
panel silk screening, dial glass, and knobs are as new. Super Clean.
Mechanically, the bandswitch and function switch are snappy and precise.
The PTO was rebuilt last Summer. Other controls in fine shape. This unit is
circa 1987 but in all honestly my experience with over 12 Corsair II's has
found no performance difference with late versus early production run
models. Turns out to be a myth in my opinion.
About two years ago this rig was aligned by Ten Tec and brought up to specs.
I have owned this unit for about 3 years as a backup to my Omni VI and of
late have used it little. It needs a deserving home and needs to be used
and appreciated. The analog receiver with PTO and crystal mixing of LO is
something all hams should experience. Super quiet, weak signal dream
machine.
This rig is offered stock with no optional filters, mic or power supply.
Why am I selling? Simply I still have too many of these and they are all
clones of each other. I can't hide them under the sofa any longer as the XYL
is on to me. Must reduce my collection or I will be living under the sofa.
Will ship CONUS for $695.00
This is an outstanding opportunity to own a prime specimen of one of the
finest receivers ever mass-built for the radio amateur.
I have bought and sold many of these to arrive at the Corsair II units that
I now own.
Regrettably I do not have a digital camera so I cannot send you a photo but
my reputation as a straight trader is known to many on the reflector.
Please e-mail me with your questions or interest. On air demo is possible
if you require.
Thanks and 73 de N1LQ-Dave
