Some good points Jerry. Provided that the audio spectrum analyzer is fast and capable of displaying resolution of less than 10 Hz, it may be of some use. Regarding the use of an audio oscillator against the received tone....I currently do this now to detect small pitch changes, but I haven't found a way to measure what I'm hearing. Also, the pitch changes we're speaking of are very small and the resultant phase change as a function of frequency shift is unnoticable. -Paul, W9AC |
