[TenTec] Jupiter internal keyer question

The internal keyer in my Jupiter seems a bit flakey.  It seems to 
lengthen the first dah of each leter sent.
I notice this in the sidetone and in the monitored signal.  I tried 
different grounding systems and I moved the power supply away from the 
rig...no change.  The keyer in my Omni-6+ is fine.  Anyone else notice this?
