I have an Omni VI+ and would like to use it with a Heath SB-1000 that has a
PIN diode QSK module built-in. I initially set up the combination using a
RCA audio cable for the relay line between them but got a hot switching
indication
on the SB-1000 during initial testing. When I went to the OMNI menu 1 and
changed the "LCO" from off to on everything worked but I'm not sure if you
can use QSK in this mode - I think this defeats QSK. Has anyone used the VI+
/ SB-1000 combination in QSK mode with sucess? Of course, one
solution is to get a Centurion 422 to go with the VI+ but I don't want to spend
the $2700 at this time - hihi. Any suggestions?
