Are the optional filters worth to install in Orion I, the classic one ?
Accordingly ARRL performance review, the additional IF apmlifier is
engaged for those filters and this is the cause of dynamic range
degradation. Orion II is another case, filters are in the same bank and
the same amplifier is used for all filters.
So, do Orion optional filters have the useful purpose ?
Is there any mod that disables additional amplifier ?
