Mike,
Mr. Edward Dugan was member # 0347 of the Old Old Timers Club (OOTC). He was
born Nov 11, 1894 and his first two-way contact was made using the call 2IY.
Try looking at the OOTC web site (http://www.ootc.us/<http://www.ootc.us/>) and
maybe contact the Executive Secretary, Bert Wells, W5JNK,
(W5JNK@SBC.GLOBAL.NET<mailto:W5JNK@SBC.GLOBAL.NET>).
73,
Troy, W6HV
President OOTC

Speaking of OOTs, the original holder of W2IY was Ed Dugan who was licensed
in 1912....one of the "founding fathers" who was so homored at a 50th
anniversary banquet at the ARRL in 1962 (it was in QST in I think August
1962). I got the call in 1976 and have tried to learn more about Mr.
Dugan's amateur radio career but mostly I have run into dead ends. Anyone
  ever tried this before?
