I have both an Omni VI opt 1 and an Omni VI Plus and neither manual has
much to say. The plus manual says "You must verify the amplifier key input
requires only a low voltage dc connection to ground" The Vi manual doesn't
even have this note.
I like my transceivers very much but Ten-Tec's manuals leave a lot to be
desired.
I would suggest calling Ten-Tec service. They are very helpful.
When I get my shack finished I am going to run a Collins 30s-1 but will be
using a black box in between.
