I just worked them too. Used the sub RX on 13.974. He's listening on 14.303.

Just worked em - they have changed their RX freq now 14303 - using as I said VFO A at 14303 TX AND RX and sub RX on 13974 ONLY - works fine .

Set up your frequencies the other way around. Put VFO B on 13.974, and VFO
A on 14.254. Then set VFO A for TX and RX, and VFO B for subrx.

Or, you can set VFO B to 14254, VFO A to 13974, TX on VFO B, RX on VFO B,
and subrx on VFO A. The key is to make sure TX and RX are on the same VFO
when the other frequency is outside the the ham band.

Hi,

I know this sounds like a stupid question, but i haven't encountered this
situation before, so please humor me along.

I was trying to work an Armed Forces Day station, NAV3, who was on 13974,
listening 14254. I tuned him in on the sub rx but when I attempted to
work split
with the tx on VFO A, the radio wouldn't do it. Outside the range, it
said.
Has anyone else had this problem?

As you can now see, this situation comes up only once a year.

Tnx & 73,

Ray W2RS
