That would make it sound like OFF capacitance would be most important.
Maybe the circuit needs to be expanded to have a series switch element
and a shunt switch element rather than depending on just the series
element. Going compound like that often results in significantly better
performance (same thing in filters) than the physical limit of the
simple single element circuit. Of course that does make the driving
circuit more complex.
