A few years ago, in the mid 60's I had an occasion to need some attenuation. I simply turned to a Hallicrafters bulletin (12) pages that gave Attn in Db from .1 in .1 steps to 100 watts. Two tables: db-voltage, current & power ratio table and Symmetrical "T" attenuator values. Z = 50 ohms also some coil winding data etc. For someone serious and for modest duplicating/mailing fee I would have it copied and sent, usps.
