Why?  What advantage is there to slot or phillips head?   Seems like
more trouble prone than hex.

It's a good idea to have one of those telescoping wand things that has
a magnet on the end.  You'll need it if you drop one of the hex
screws.

TT picked up the tab.  I priced the fan a few years ago  and priced out at
$40 including shipping.

The fan is a pita to replace. My fan was secured with allen bolts. I should
have replaced them with slotted or phillips head bolts.>>>
