Hi all , I found a little something to make my shack a little more 
comfortable .  I move radios and other items in and out of my shack on a 
somewhat regular basis and I often have trouble placing the item at the 
right incline or viewing angle and I have used books etc . I have now 
found a easy fix that looks ok and works great the rockler bench cookie 
polished edges with padded rubber on both sides .  I use it when I just 
can't get the radio up high enough to read comfortably with just a bail
