I know this is a dumb question, but what's the source of the +REG?

Hello All

Upon turning on a Omni VI 563 Opt. 3 , I let some smoke out of the box.
U1 on the Xtal Osc-LO board had failed and took out the trace on the
board at pin 12. I removed the IC and replaced with a socket and new IC.
Rig is still completely dead with the exeption of the NOTCH and ATTN
led's (when buttons pushed).

I also found the 7805 for the logic board 5.0V had failed. That has been
replaced and I now have 5V to the locic boards. All my 13.8 V (red
wires) seem to be OK with the proper voltage. The + REG voltage (orange
wires) is only 1.6 Volts at all connectors....
should be 8.5V. I have 13.6,13.7, and 13.9 at Q19 on low level driver
board, Does that seem right ?

Symptoms are No lights...No display...nothing but the above mentioned. I
tried reset using both CLEAR and ENTER buttons with turning power on
....nothing.

Is there any published data on typical voltages at the pins of the
various IC's? I checked the reflector arcives and couldn't find anything.

I haven't call Ten-Tec yet and was hoping I could learn a bit by trouble
shooting this myself...but I may be in over my head.
Any ideas????

It is developed on the low-level driver board and distributed at connector 62.
