Don't agree with you Barry. I have done extensive A/B tests with the
OII Vs FTdx5000 and Flex 6700. Can't agree that the OII is the best rig
ever made.
Better than the Yaesu on ssb selectivity due to the 1.8 kHz roofing
filter, but not better than the Flex 6700. The weak signal reception
was best on the Flex. So I have to agree with Carl.
Rick, yes, the 6000 series has some band noise but it is minimal. Only
audible out to about 50 kHz and then just barely. Doesn't even move the
S meter on my other rig.
I don't agree about TT concentrating on mid range rigs. They already
have the Omini VII and the Eagle. What we need from TT is the O3. Put
me in line to buy one.
