The Orion line is still fantastic, at any price. Just because "better"
comes out doesn't mean that I'm about to trade in my radios.
Sorta like high end cameras. I love my Leica and the lenses that make
it so fantastic. No reason to trade it in. Consumerism is not apropos
if I am happy.
I bought my Orion because someone within a block of me loved to run
high power on PSK. That's not a problem anymore.

I'm a retiree with a modest home and a modest automobile. I won't
be buying any $8,000 transceiver. The most expensive transceiver I
ever bought was the Orion and it lost a significant portion of its
value when the Orion II was announced not terribly long after the
introduction of the original.

Ten Tec needs to have a price that allows them to make a profit.
I would think a price for this new rig would be around $6,000.
