[TenTec] Interfacing O-VII with Herc II (Model 420)

I have been looking for a solution here as well. None has been found so...

I am tinkering with the idea of using a virtual port from N4PY linked to
a serial port on an Arduino or ChipKit Uno board and using the IO lines of
the
board to toggle lines. I have had some initial success but have not had much
time to support it. It is tentatively a winter project. I intend to use it
with my
Eagle and Hercules II.

I also have an Arduino board reading the band output of the Orion and
generating the
BCD code for an Elecraft KPA500.

If others have pursued similar ideas, it would be fun to compare notes.
