Doc, first check the seating of the small 2-pin connector on the audio board
at the top of the chassis.
In your troubleshooting, always work back from the speaker towards the audio
amplifier, then the audio preamp, etc.
You can inject noise with a small screwdriver touched by your finger. Be
cautious so you don't inadvertently short anything nearby. The schematic is
your friend.

Subject: [TenTec] Help with Tentec Omni 5
I apologise in advance if I have inadvertently sent this note twice. But
maybe someone can help me with an ailing Tentec Omni 5.
It has the matching power supply. I turn on the rig it and everything
lights up....but there is no audio from the rig. This is true whether
through the built-in speaker or the separate speaker.
Can anyone offer some guidance? It would be much appreciated, thanks.
73,
Doc/K0EVZ
