This refers to the “additional” cap location with the wing nut on the back of 
the 238. You can add addional capacitance if the tuning solution needs it (e.g. 
160M).  I think a 1000pf came with the tuner new. Doorknob replacements is a 
different issue.

I think most folks assume that if you add the cap in that location it only gets 
added to position 5 (the tuner settings with the most capacitance).  It gets 
added to 3, 4, _and_ 5.
