To those of you in EU and USA wondering what has been on the band at the
most unsociable times (for us), condx. have been surprisingly good again
from 0230 to after sunrise at 0411, only spoilt by S9 QRN bursts and
poor activity but then in summer what do we expect.
Skip long again over SA with
EM1HO 559 1829 0300-0330
(assumed to be at same Antarctica base as EM1U/EM1KA - can anyone
confirm this and advise location?)
PY1BVY 559 at 0300 peaking 579 at 0411 (sunrise) and audible to 0430
Ron said he heard GJ3YHU earlier at 449.
CX4SS 559 1826 0410
Nothing heard from ZS this time.
Many east coast USA - signals up to s9
W6OV (Nebraska?) 449 0345 (working W1NV who was 589)
W6DAO 339 1831 at 0310 (working PY1BVY)
Other EUs on the band heard were Z32LM, IV3PRK and DJ2YA.
There have been at least two openings like this in a week.
Here in UK tomorrow the Dunstable Downs Radio Club National Amateur
Radio Car Boot sale is being held near Luton. Acres of interesting
useful radio components, equipment and junk. Some compensation anyway
for missing Dayton!
