Charlie VK9XG reports that he hopes put up his phased pennants 160/80
receive array today (28 October) - this has been delayed so far because of
a big game (yesterday) on the cricket pitch where his station is sited!
As all Australians, southern Africans and New Zealanders know, cricket is
considered a sacred activity by English-speaking nations in the Southern
Hemisphere.
Despite still putting together the antenna system at the time, Charlie
managed to get on 8Om CW for US sunrise on Sunday and managed QSOs with
N5RG and W8JI. Unfortunately, there was no opening into the US on 160 at
the time.
