I'm not an EE so I can't answer with theory. However, after lightning fried a new Comtek box one week after installation I installed Polyphaser devices at the feedpoint of each vertical and didn't notice any degradation of the patterns. I believe I did that at the recommendation of Jim at Comtek after having to replace the new box. I also installed static bleed chokes at the base of each vertical. 3 years no problems. 73 Tom NI1N _______________________________________________ Topband mailing list Topband@contesting.com http://lists.contesting.com/mailman/listinfo/topband |
