For Brian Sarkisian, KG8CO, and others who might be interested in a gamma for a "too tall" tower, If you are willing and can use 4 or more elevated (sloping) radials, then have a look at Tom Russell, N4KG article in QST, June 1994, pages 45 and 46. This "reverse-fed" vertical might be a usable solution which takes good advantage of a tall, top-loaded tower.
