Topband: Any North American activity?

I came on before our Sunrise this Sunday morning at 04.30Z, calling CQ DX,
and continued for half an hour.

There were several other regular EU Dx-ers on too, calling.

I didn't hear any NA stations . . . and didn't hear anyone else work any.

Were conditions bad?  Or just a lack of activity?
