Use whatever length of coax you need to get from the balun to the tuner.
Don't worry about it. I would suggest you use only solid-dielectric coax,
as on some frequencies there may be voltage nodes in the coax that could
be quite high.
There's nothing magical about the G5RV. It is merely an extended double
Zepp for 20m. Using the feedline arrangement, it provides a good match to
50 ohm coax on 20m, and isn't too terribly outrageous on other bands.
When used in this fashion, it is merely a variation on a doublet with
tuned feeders.
I use a similar antenna, a 125 foot doublet fed with open wire to the
house, a balun, followed by coax into the shack. Works great.
