Hallo,

I am thinking about wire yagis for 15m and 20m. I operate portable from
a nice hilltop location and I am currently using Quad-Loops on that bands.

These Loops work OK, but there is nothing that could not be improved;)

Maybe a wire-beam is a good choice, if only one direction (NW) is needed
like in the ARRL DX Contest.

The antennas would be low, about 25-30 feet max. because
everything including the portable masts have to fit in my car..

So I have modelled some wire beams with AO, and it looks very interesting.
Also at W4RNL's Web-site there are some very interesting notes.

In addition, I would like to hear from people who run wire beams on 15/20m,
maybe with 4-7 elements, antenna lenght about 40-60 feet. What is your
experience? Would you do it again, or have you found better alternatives?

Thanks and 73's,
Christoph DL4YAO
