My solution is similar, except I used a battery pack that came from
a small printer. Has built in charging circuit, so only needed R/S
"Wall Wart" they sell for charging Nicads. The pack is 2" wide and
the length of the MFJ. Sticks well with Velcro. Lasts longer on one
charge than I have needed for any job so far. Best of all, I found
these at the MIT Flea Market, the Boston A/R Club had several, all
new/unused and only $5 each, now thats frugal !!!
