I am going to install a ground rod just outside my shack for an rf
ground. It will be connected to a copper bus inside the shack using 1
inch copper braid sold by
Cable X-Perts Inc. I have 2 questions.
Q1. Can I just pass the braid through a hole drilled in the wood frame
house wall
or do I need to use PVC pipe to isolate the ground braid from the house?
Q2. Does the rf ground rod really need to be bonded to the electrical
ground rod? Do
they need to bonded outside of the house? Does the wire which is used to
bond
them need to buried? I have hired a licensed electrician to do the work,
but he is not familiar with rf grounding. I need to give him
instructions for how to install the rf ground system.

tnx es 73 de Ken W3JJ
