I have a UST TX-472MDP motorized tower. On top is a KT-34A which I will
replace with a TH-11DX. It also has a cable mechanism that permits me to
tilt the tower over to work on the antenna. Unfortunately, I have some
trees and bushes right in the area where the antenna would come down. I
wonder if I could extend the antenna up 20 feet or so and then tilt it over
in order to clear the trees and bushes. Obviously, this would place a
higher load on the tilt cable, etc. Has anyone ever done this before? Is
it do-able or is it just unsafe?
Thanks for the help
