Hi, Stephanie

Don't know if that's the way it's normally done in amateur installations, but
it's the way I did mine, and the way most professional rigging is done. It was
also the way the guys were installed by the military on an AB-105C tower I
recently removed from a Reserve Center.

On my 90' Rohn 45G, I joined my guys to the guy brackets at the tower and to
the turnbuckles via shackles. This gives me the ability to remove a guy with a
minimum of hassle, and without cutting the guy, if I ever need to
repair/replace one, want to add more guy insulators, have to temporarily drop a
guy to install or remove a large beam, want to add a Phyllistran section later,
etc.

Look for shackles and the rest of your tower hardware at local professional
crane or rigging shops, or under "Wire Rope" in the yellow pages. I got some
great deals on EHS, thimbles, shackles, turnbuckles, etc. that way.

Good luck and 73,
