One of the little devices that gets actuated by the arm to prevent over
turning was stuck in. I decided to take the arm off that pushs these
things. I have lots of extra coax up there. I think I would have to turn
the antenna a full 360 degrees around to break the coax. And I make it a
point to never get near north with the antenna.
Thanks for all the tips. BTW... this HDR-300 has been turning a 48' boom
20 meter yagi for 2 years now and this is the first problem. I had it
upgraded to a stainless steel shaft and it's been terrific.
