I have used two RCS-8 Ameritron remote switches for years. Use regular rotor
cable and just use the 6 wires. Standard rotor cable works great for the
Ameritron remote switches. You will like its performance. We use the
RCS-8 at our Club station too and we run 175 feet of rotor cable as described
above with no problems
The RCS-4 is has a lot more loss and wont work on VHF. The RCS-8 will!!
Plus you have more ports available with the RCS-8. Its a much better switch.
