Hope to be picking up my new HG-70HD tower next weekend.
Looking thru the manual I picked up yesterday it looks
like the rotor plate is not fastened to the tower at all,
but just rests on these stops that are welded to the
inside of the top section. Is that correct? I don't
recall ever using or seeing a rotor plate that was not
somehow attached.

Also....the rotor plate is missing. Anyone aware of any
other manufacturer's plate that would fit?

Looks like I will go with either an AlfaSpid rotor with an
RT-20 controller, or a used Yaesu 2800 (may be able to get
a nice one used cheap). This will turn a Sommer XP-807
40-6m antenna on a 26ft dual I-beam boom.

Hoping this setup will be a marked improvement over my
current F12 C4 at 40ft.

Thanks!!!
Greg
