thanks Dick, Arne and Tod,

the longest jumper I need is 48 inches, so OK about loose doesn´t matter.

Arne, I was offered the RG-142, but to buy hi hi. I asked Joel at theRFC and
offered me the RG-142b/U and the RG213/U.

Will ask him about the RG400U

thanks!

RG400U works very well for in the shack jumpers. [As long as you are only
running the legal limit power]. Double silver shielding, Teflon dielectric,
etc. Easiest to use crimp connectors rather than soldered connectors. TheRFC
has PL259 crimp connectors for RG400U as well as RG400U. I think RF Concepts
does too and probably there are some others.

The loss difference between a one- or two-meter length of any quality coax
product else isn't much. In shack I'd be more interested in shield coverage
and physical flexibility than low loss. LMR-400 is too stiff for inside
jumpers for my taste.

I think your BuryFlex inside is just fine. Belden claims dual silver shields
for 98% coverage, and it's 3/16" in diameter, which might make it easier to
handle. It might be a bit stiffer, though, I haven't used it.
