If neither the motor or the indicator is working check your connection at pin
1. This is the common for the both of these circuits. It is also common for
the brake but the brake is also connected to the housing and could be getting a
return path through the mounting. Though not sure how that may be happening if
you have it out of the tower.
In the controller box you can check to be sure that there are output voltages
at pins 5 and 6 for the motor CW and CCW. Pins 3 and 7 should have the output
voltages for the positioning pot. You can easily check the pot with an
ohmmeter. It is 500 ohms and the wiper should go from 0-500 ohms as it is
rotated.
When you say the indicator is not working do you mean the needle doesn't move
from a fixed indication or that it never comes off the end rest when powered on?

Subject: [TowerTalk] T2X problem

I have a T2X I took from the tower because it was not working.
I have taken it apart and have the following problem:
The brake release normal.
No turning either way even not a buzz from the motor
Indicator is not working, no reaction when I turn the wiper by hand.
Same way happened with a different cable and or control box.
I would go for it when you say the motor is "shot" but then what about the
indicator.
Any help is appreciated.
Thanks

Will
