I had planned on using 1/2” thimbles to couple 5/16” EHS to 5/16” EHS (pieces I
have from a purchase) ... as well as at their ends of course ...

and the same for coupling from the 11200 philly to the 5/16” using the same
1/2” thimbles...

is this a possible issue? Do I need to use insulators instead?

I’d think if there is philly to the top of the tower and the EHS, in 2
‘coupled’ pieces, down to the ground – grounded there – there would be no
potential for noise being generated through any form of rubbing – correct?

And wear – the 1/2” thimbles are monsters – I’d think it would take decades for
it to wear if ever... although I suppose it might cause the galvanizing to wear
prematurely.

any one have experience with this method?
