In a word, NO!
It's the 21st century, & if you're going to be climbing a tower (your own
or anyone's), then you need to be
wearin\g/using proper gear, which today means a Fall Arrest System.
A system to keep you 100% connected & (God forbid) should the worst
happen & you fall, then the fall is
arrested or "broken" & you stay alive.
